Red Weather Warning

A red weather event: As defined by Met Éireann is as follows
“issue of RED level severe weather warnings should be a comparatively rare event
and implies that recipients take action to protect themselves and/or their properties;
this could be by moving their families out of the danger zone temporarily; by staying
indoors; or by other specific actions aimed at mitigating the effects of the weather
conditions”

In the event of a red weather warning issued by Met Éireann where there is a risk to life, we will close both our Longford and Rooskey surgeries.

Any scheduled appointments that are in place will be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date. All patients effected by this will be sent an SMS to inform
them that their appointment will not be going ahead. The onus is on the patient to ensure their contact details are up to date (i.e. valid mobile number) on our system.

We endeavour to keep our patients up to date as much as possible through our Facebook pages and we would encourage our patients to monitor theses for any updates.
